Living Brushes

A drawing pad where nothing you paint holds still. Pick a brush, draw a slow line, and the stroke keeps living: fireflies drift along it, embers rise off it, a koi pond ripples where you dragged the water.

Every brush is a seeded particle system whose state is a pure function of time, so a stroke is not a smear of pixels but a little running world. Nothing decays and nothing loops back to a saved frame, which is what lets undo be a simple pop and a window resize just re-render everything exactly where it was. The shelf holds dozens of them, grouped into brushes you draw with (fireflies, stardust, aurora, will-o’-wisp, snowfall, koi pond, cherry bough, butterflies), objects you place and let the effects gather around (a lantern post, a campfire, a cottage, a cat), and scene backdrops that set the mood. Choose a color and a paper tone, draw slowly, and when a canvas feels done, take a snapshot to keep it.

It is deliberately cozy: no accounts, no saving, nothing to get right. Just a warm surface that stays in motion.
